I love this place, I have only been once but it was great! I was kinda in a bad mood when I went because I had really bad PMS but overall it was great and I can't wait to go back again. The crab martini appetizer my mom and I got was bomb.com soooooo good! I recommend that whoever is in the area to NOT go to Prim Catch and DO go to Josie's instead!

I've driven past this place for years even after friends recommended it so last night I'm in the neighborhood and we stopped by. Greeted warmly at the front door - that's always a plus. Service was attentive but a bit perfunctory ( I get the feeling we were the waiters last table for the night). The food was good, not great but certainly well above average fare. I always ask myself " would you come here again?' The simple answer is yes. Chicken parm isn't a big challenge so next time I'll opt for something a little more adventurous.

Went here at 915 for the happy hour listed on their website. I have ordered pizza from there before and it was decent so I figured the late night happy hour was worth a try seeing as we live across the street. When we walk in 5 people are spread out on the bar as "regulars" leaving nowhere for the 2 of us. The bartender tells us to sit on the patio which is listed on the website as being part of the happy hour. We were greated by our server who shows us the 35 dollar dinner specials but makes no mention of happy hour. When we ask he tells us house wine and draft beer is 2 for 1. We get 1 of each. Then of course we have to ask about happy hour food which he somewhat acknowledges so we order 2 appetizers off the bar menu. They're delivered fast and decent tasting. The bill comes and everything is full price. When we ask about happy hour the server leaves for 10 mins then returns to tell us it "must be old from the website". Thanks for the absolute garbage experience josies I won't be back and I live 500 feet away so that's saying alot. Another bs Italian joint who won't even honor their specials in south florida

Josie's is and has always been one of my favorite go to Italian restaurants in the area! The food is always spot on if you're in the mood for Italian!

This place hit the spot. I got a pizza to go one time a long time ago and never got around to eating a full dinner here. I finally made it in recently. I wish I been in sooner. It really hit the spot. The place wasn't too crowded, probably because the snowbirds finally left. I sat at the bar and both bar tenders were great. They were friendly and treated me like a friend. I ordered a whiskey and chicken parmigiana. I was given the choice to have rolls; garlic or plain. I only wanted one garlic. My that was good. Very hot and soft. Not too greasy or overpowering. Was asked if I wanted soup or salad and I opted for the salad with the house Italian. It was delicious. Nice and thick. It wasn't the white creamy kind but still creamy. The main dish came out just as I finished the salad. It was a thick piece of chicken rather than a giant thin piece. I was a little nervous because usually people screw it up when it thick. This was cooked perfect. The breading was great. The cheese was fresh, home made, or imported. Wow was it good. The sauce was good, but...there was something different about it. It had what I describe as a hint of cinnamon. I'm not sure why. I wanted the desert so bad but I was stuffed. I can't wait to go back

I go to visit a friend t least once a month and we always order take out to be delivered from this place. The food is delicious however they seem to have a poor communication. No mater how many times I mention to please add extra cheese, garlic, crushed red pepper they can never get it right! We even bet on it..lol One time, we ordered pizza, when we met the drive downstairs, the pizza looked like it had been tossed around in the box. The cheese was everywhere but the pizza. We were disappointed and didn't want to complain, but we should have. This place is not cheap. Again, the food is great. Chicken parm is a fav. and the pizza is n.y style like.

The Delivery was fast and efficient and driver was friendly but the food ehh not so good... I got a large cheese pizza with tomatoes and garlic the cheese and toppings were falling off the pizza as I cut into it and when I would bite into it I would end up losing all the cheese the crust was boring the sauce was avg all and all it wasn't so good I only ate 2 small slices and I had a tummy ache all night... I will not be ordering from here again....

The food we had was very good, the server we had, her name was Sara, was terribleI would give the food 3 to 4 stars, ours server did not even deserve 1 star. We arrived early got seated gave a drink order and put in our food order when the soft drinks ( not the wine, which came much later). We got our salads in a timely fashion, then proceeded to wait an hour for our entrees.Others including a large party that arrived after us, received their food before us. She blamed the bartenders for slow service on drinks, she blamed slow service on large party that arrived after us for slow service on food. She offered us water 3 times that she never delivered. She either must be related to the owner, or I don't know what, because every other server there was hustling and taking care of their customers, except Sara who was drinking water and talking to other employees. Other customers who arrived much after us received their salads and meals before us.

I am one of those that loves pizza, and when I find my favorite pizza and the area around my house I eat pizza from there and no where else. Let me tell you Josie's pizza is one of the best. A large pepperoni with extra cheese cooked well done, you can't go wrong! It's not just the pizza though, everything we have eaten here is great and so is the service!!!

After a long hiatus, mostly because we always thought the food at Josie's was around average; we decided to give the place another try. First, it took our waitress over 15 minutes to bring us our water and then take our initial order: we decided on a large plain pizza as an appetizer. The pizza arrived hot and tasty. We then decided to order the lobster specials for our entrées. Drew ordered his lobster with a Fra Diavolo sauce along with some pasta, while I had my lobster with the scampi sauce. My dish was tasty...the sauce was flavorful and Drew liked his dish until he almost swallowed a piece of plastic...to be more specific, a plastic bread-clip, used to close bags of bread, pretzels, etc... Drew immediately, called over the waitress and showed her the bread-clip; she took it away and said she would show it to her manager. Okay. We waited a bit...no manager came to our table. So, we started to eat the remainder of our food...a bit cautiously. Finally, the waitress appeared...to take away our plates. We asked again about seeing the manager. She came back with the check...still no manager. Finally Drew asked again, she said that she told the manager what happened and that she could do nothing more. Now, when the waitress left, Drew said to me that I should write about this experience on social media and immediately the waitress appeared at our table (seems someone was listening in on our conversation,) and began to state by mentioning her name could make her lose her job. To which, I quickly stated that I did not know her name and that I was going to write about the plastic bread-clip in the lobster dish; to which she got all hot and bothered. Since when is telling the truth a bad thing? After all that drama, there was still no sign of the manager, who was most likely hiding. Oh... and if you think we were offered a free dessert to help rectify the situation...nope...nothing. The waitress did not even give us wet-naps to clean our hands from eating the lobsters. Charming. Well, after we paid the check we left... and trust me, we will never return to Josie's.

Josie's offers good southern Italian food, red sauce, large portions, however, priced about 10 to 20% higher than comparable Resturants. Also, probably a one off error but check your bill I had an extra $12 drink that I did not have ... on my bill.

I have been here more than once. We think this one the best places in the county. There veal marsla is to die for. The service is always perfect. Now you should know that the food aint cheap, but it is worth every penny. Its the kinda place that will make you ask why havent you been there before. The staff makes you fill right at home. Diffently a must try

I came here on Monday evening for dinner. The service was great, but I wasn't as excited over the food and prices. I ordered the penne dish for $12, which was a special. The pasta wasn't cooked long enough and was still a little too tough for my taste. My sister ordered some pasta and mushroom dish, which she enjoyed more than I did with mine. Overall, the prices are a little high for just a pasta dish. My food wasn't cooked long enough, but my sister loved hers. So maybe it's a hit or miss type of place. I do appreciate the great customer service though. The staff was incredible.

The Cheesy Crust pizza is to die for! Don't order it if you're in a hurry. Relax sipping a glass of house Chianti (excellent for the price point) and patiently wait for this culinary miracle to come out of the oven. Their regular pizza is meh. The waitress misheard once and gave us a regular pizza instead, which was a huge disappointment. Their house salads with their house vinaigrette are pretty good too, with a couple of cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives. Not thrilled about the iceberg lettuce, but it's definitely better than your average house salad. Ask for a side of crumbled blue cheese/gorgonzola. The ambiance could use a little improvement, but it's a great place if you're looking for a low-key, cozy dining experience. The service has always been good.

I have never sat down to dine at this "Ristorante" so you will not gain any insight regarding it's service here. What I can tell you is that I am a big fan of hot subs and it is not one of Josie's strong points. In fact, they should just take them off the menu. I suspect they're using tomato out of the can sauce for these sandwiches because it tastes like it. Their regular crust pizza is forgettable and nothing special. The two reasons I come here time and again is for their "crusty cheese" pizza which is an above average Chicago style squared slice pie. I crave it, apparently once a week. Sometimes, if I feel like spending $30 for a plate of specialty pasta, my girl and I will pick a couple up. They're tasty but not quite worth the money. Why do we keep eating there? They have zero competition in the zip code.

Old people. Lucky I did take-out. About half an hour for 3 items. Food was solid overall. Had spicy wings, veal cutlet parm with penne, and chicken marsala. Wished I ordered a side of the chicken marsala sauce.

These people must be going to a different place. The staff is ridiculously welcoming, our waiter even told stories and taught magic tricks to the kids with us. The garlic rolls are delicious, and so is the pizza and pasta. We go every year, and it's always good. Mark and Joe, love you guys!

So my business partner and I decide we want to grab a "quick" bite after a long day at the office, that was the first mistake, we waited 15 minutes for the appetizer which came out incorrect. Then another 15 minutes for our soup. So as we are anxiously awaiting our main course, our server comes over and says, "the owner will not allow any substitutions", my partner and I looked at each other puzzled, then we realized we asked for angel hair instead of spaghetti, we damn near broke out into a laugh! We are in the restaurant business, there's no different, costs same, cooks same, WTF! I strongly suggest seeking another place to dine that puts their customers first and not the owners arrogance. The food was marginal...

This is a pizza place people. Give me a break with the overpriced, overcooked, and rosemary plant stuck into my "tower of food" you just played me with, on that Huge serving platter. Im not in preschool, and Im not 90 with cash and no judgment. Your plates and plants don't convince younger patrons in signing for over the top bills, like the one I was just served. You'd last 6 months in Coral Gables. Good Luck with that hot mess. Focus on Pizza, Salad, Garlic Rolls.

Finally found good Italian food in Flordia. Started with a real mixed green salad with calamatas, had beautiful fresh ravioli and for dessert the tiramisu was amazing. Nice decor and the service by Harold was wonderful. Reasonably priced and comfy by the intercoastal.

Again, one of the best Italian meals I have had, north or south. My husbands Chicken Marsala was tender & flavorful & as always, the portions were generous. I ordered my favorite dish which is no longer on the menu & the chef was happy to prepare the "Beggars Purse", a ravioli square filled with marscapone & sweet pears & wrapped into a little basket, then covered in a stupendous rich & delicious cognac cream sauce with sun dried tomatoes & fresh basil. They also start you with really, really garlicky garlic knots, plus your choice of soup or salad with a small up charge for the caesar salad which was well worth it. NOW FOR THE TIP!! 25% off yhe ENTIRE BILL for the rest of the "out of season"--through September? NO COUPON NEEDED!

Well it was moving day, we were tired and hungry so takeout pizza seemed like the way to go. Since we live close by according to the internet search results, I figured I'd go pick it up so we'd get our pizza faster. Well, talk about surprises! I get there in moving day attire, looking a hot mess, only to find that this is a full blown, really great looking Italian restaurant. It is VERY nice. The staff was super friendly and my pizza was ready. They have their take out counter to the side. They had a design board on display, indicating their redesign plans (that design salesperson is really good, they don't need remodeling). So after taking my scruffy self out of there, I went home with my pies. YUUUUUMMM. The pizza is excellent! A pie to match the location! I'm so happy there's a good pizza place up the block from my new home. Next time I won't be so scruffy, maybe I'll sit down and eat in-house.

I was sitting at the bar having a glass of wine with my Mom when a HUGE roach crawled across the bar. Everyone at the bar yelled and jumped out of their seats and none of the employees rushed to do anything, they all seemed to not even care. A customer had to come and kill the roach, an employee didn't come pick it up for at least five minutes. I saw the bartender tell the owner about how the roach practically fell in our laps and he didn't do anything, not even an apology. My mom and I could not believe how poorly the restaurant handled such a disgusting and unpleasant experience. We will not be going back ever, the establishment is repulsive.

After tonight I will never eat at this place again. I came here for dinner tonight with my boyfriend. Unlike me he eats chicken. He ordered a chicken dish. When we got it he told me it looked different than the last time we went there which was about a week or so before. He told the waiter this who called it veal. My boyfriend then told the waiter he did not order veal. The waiter responded to him that he meant chicken and insisted the dish was chicken. Brian, my boyfriend, ate a little more and began examining it trying to get the coating off. He asked me if it looked white or a different color. I don't eat meat but I have in the past and know what chicken looks like. This was not chicken. The waiter came back and said he would ask the cook. How would the cook know without seeing? I am sure some people did order veal and other dishes with it went out that night. How would he remember this one plate? The waiter came back and apologized. He said he would knock off some of the bill for the mistake. He seemed to be looking more at me even though it was my boyfriend who ended up eating a baby. I told him I don't eat meat and certainly do not believe in eating veal. He made some comment, 'there is plenty of veal around here.' My boyfriend and I looked at each other and I had to bite my tongue to not make a nasty comment back. So, this guy comes back with the bill. He charged for the veal and took off the difference in price between veal and chicken. I asked how that was knocking something off the bill. All he did was adjust the price to what was ordered originally that he messed up. Certainly we were not going to pay for a more expensive meal not even ordered. I pointed this out and the waiter literally played dumb pretending not to understand what I was saying. I asked him to send over the manager. This guy would not get the manager and then grabbed the check. He said he was going to knock off $10 instead of $6. So for this whole mistake he only gave us $4 in credit. When he brought the adjusted check he dropped it off real quick and took off before anyone could say anything.

Josie's is a fantastic medium priced Italian restaurant. The spaghetti sauce is sweet and deliscious. We love the chicken parm, the rigatoni vodka, the lasagna, the subs and the pizza. The soup is great. The garlic rolls really good and the prices are reasonable. It is my favorite local restaurant.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
